Left at daylight this morning with hopes of catching a big one. We turned out and ran hogs several times. Just like every year this time they ran, broke and did it over again. By 9:45 it was almost too hot to turn out again. We decided to give it one more shot. We headed over to an old rice field and noticed fresh rooting in a drainage ditch. Turned out and he was locked down bayed in less than 5 minutes. We ran in there and sent the catch dogs. Before the bulldogs were caught I noticed big teeth and Eller getting thrown around. I ran in and got caught up in vines and landed on top of the monster. Luckily for me, my catch dogs Jenkins and Kaine were caught at that time. We got him tied up and checked all the dogs, no serious injuries. It sure was nice to catch a good one in this heat.
