This past weekends hunt was pretty eventful. This was the first time I really got to take my new dogs out I was kind of worried as one had trashed on a couple armadillos earlier in the week. As soon as my room mate and I rolled up to an opening at his deer lease we saw 3 hogs and some piglets. We jumped out and turned our dogs loose and they immediately went to baying when we got in with our catch dog we had a sow about 220 headed right for us so he cut his catch dog loose and he got a hold until he got slung into a small tree and was forced to turn loose. That old sow took off across the pasture and the catch dog followed but she out ran him but he kept trail and ultimately took him for a swim in a creek back in a heavy thicket. She got away from us and we thought that was the end of our evening hunt. We decided to try one more time before dark and traveled to a pond and the 2 new dogs of mine and one of his puppies tore out and it wasnt 10 minutes and they were bayed up on this 100 pound sow now I know shes not big but I was happy to see that my dogs worked the way they should.  We woke up about 6 am on friday and rolled out again to the spot where the bigger pigs were the day before. We noticed some hog sign about 100 yards away from where we got bayed the night before. So we decided to turn the dogs loose. Wasnt but about 5 or 10 min and the dogs went to baying so we ran in with the catch dog and we heard this 150 lb boar headed right for us he came right to the left of where we were at and my buddy cut the catch dog loose and he got a hold along with all the other dogs. Catch dog did rip the old boars ear off.   All in all it was a very successful weekend. All we had were my 2 new dogs two 6 month old puppies and a catch dog, which all worked their butts off this weekend. I was proud of all our dogs. We plan on doing it again this weekend hope to get some video this weekend though, and some pictures of our dogs as they deserve some recognition too. |

ya brandon that sums it all up it turned out to be a good weekend hopefully we can get us something with some good cutters on him this weekend so old shiner can put them teeth on him or a big sow! i have to admit all the dogs surprised me esspecially the two pups of mine im glad they rolled out with them oler dogs. how bout that pic of big swole holdin that hog lol. we will be posting pics soon of the stock we got out here at the Lazy B&K kennels! in case yall havent realized im the roommte in the story lol

Ya that's good for micheals pups but I just encourage sine and not lights haha we caught a big sow this mornin behind the house haha right where I tried to put ur dogs about 250 with teeth but the ho died by time we got her out the woods damn heat and btw u lived with him that's ur man |

Yeah our sow died on us too heat is too rough on them right now. Them hogs must have not been moving in there when we went them dogs would have found it. Yeah his pups are doing good for as young as they are you know. Man thats your man you were all about him for a while he still cries about you lenore lol. Not bragging on the dog just glad they worked im proud of them. big difference this isnt like that old boys from huntsville post lol. We will get you a big hog this weekend going to big hog country back home your more than welcome to come if you want.

ya i got some places down here i got to hunt cuz they guys been calliung us cuz they are tearing up what little hay fields they got haha but big hog country is like ev erywhere else all them youngins tak8in them dogs out gettin outran everytime makin them hogs trackstars haha but i wish yall luck and if somethin cxhanges and i decide to get away from the ville for the weekend ill tell u and ya that good being proud of them ol sis rolled out yesterday mornin dont kno if it was her or toes who found the hog but damn sure sounded like sis but they sound alot alike she is comin up tho too bad she is starting to show pregnant but o well will have them lil blue pups before long

See these pigs but down a many a dog a few years back. Haven't been hunted with dogs in about 3 years should be fun. Where are the pics of this big sow?
