We loaded dogs at daylight and met in the sabine river bottoms at 6. We hunted for an hour or so with no luck and loaded the dogs and took them to the river for a drink. I let my lead dog out and he acted real piggy right outa the box. I called him back while we unloaded the other dogs. We let our hunting buddies airdales loose and they took out. My lead dog wouldnt even get a drink so I let him go. We heard the airdales strike on the other side of the river with my bmc pups and lead dog headed that way. We found a log going across the river about 50 yards down and everybody but my dad crossed to head toward the dogs. Right before I crossed I clipped my astro 220 to my belt clip and when I hit a limb on the log it busted off the clip and fell into the river. I let a long sting of ugly words fly. We didnt have any trouble locating the dogs though because my pups were baying their heads off. When we were probably 25 yards away the pig broke and hit the river ( and if you will remember my dad is the only one on the other side). The airdales were nowhere in sight and it was just my dogs swimming with the pig. They got him to my dads side and caught solid. He eased down the bank and shot one 357 bullet into the pig while we were trying to get back across. When we arrived he was treading water with the pig facing him (he swears it tried to eat him) haha. The airdales came back and caught with my dogs and my buddie matt stuck him.  He wasnt a huge boar but it sure made for an interesting morning.

I haven't lost my Garmin so far; For over 2yrs I have had about 3ft of string I put around my neck and put the Gps in my shirt pocket. It works out pretty well, better than the clip. I broke it the first week I had it. Thats some fine country yall are hunting.
