Do they still have the big dog yard? Me and the old coon hunter that worked for us went up there back about '81 and I never saw so many hounds in my life.

i live about 20 miles from canton it get slow around 5 in the afternoon and u can be there as early as 8 to walk around. bobby there is no where near the hounds or any real hunting dogs at canton trades day anymore. u may get lucky and find an old coon hunter everyonce in awhile with a started dog, but it does seem to be alotta smooth talkers that try set up and tell u that there dogs are out of working stock, u know the routine. all in all just a bunch of over priced lap dogs there.

Man, when Sonny and myself went there were hundreds of dogs. A lot of traders, a lot of hunters out of OK  with coon and fox hounds. Lots of beagles. We stayed on the grounds all weekend and it was a blast . Hundreds of dogs. I always wanted to go back for the auction on Monday.

Good rule of thumb is if the sellers mouth is moving he's lieing, Another thing is if the dog is on the ground dont even bother getting it unless you want to spread parvo.
