FLBayNSlay there is a brother to Brandy, a tweety son in LA and his pups looks just the rest of them.  It could be that your pup is out of that dog.  The funny part is that Tweety, and two of her sons went to Florida along with Winchester.  A man there bought them all and hunted them one time and didnt catch a hog and sent them back.  That is when I bought tweety and the others were dispersed.  That poor sucker never knew what he had haha

haha man that is to funny. I know some dogs wont hunt for some people and then sometimes it jsut dont work! Here is a pic of that gyp I was talking about. She is a little over a year old. I have her brother as well. The only reason I thought there might be some relation was the spots on the chest. I havent seen alot of Cats with that. I have seen solids and leopards but it almost looks like a birddog coloring  Cheesy

Strike dog.. This black line comes from Woodruff's ranch north of Huntsville. As I've been told they crossed black and tan hounds with cur dogs way back when, eventually getting some midnight black dogs. Line breeding these black dogs produced this line. They are sure enough solid black too. Ive been fortunate to hunt behind these dogs the last 5 years abd its been a blast. I raised the Briar pup and have a few young black balls of fury at home. The other dogs are my hunting partners. I'm not positive on the back story of these dogs, cward may know a little more as his dogs came from Woodruff's ranch also

OK Boys Q and A time!

Noelle:

You stated your Yeller dogs had some Spivey blood in em. Just wondering which Spivey and what area?

TShelly:

I take it these were the crows that closed us out at the last competition? laugh All joking aside they all look like sure nuff arse kickers. I was wondering what that black faced yeller dog in the last pic in the middle was out of and if it was littermates to the others in pic? (All look sharp bud)

Bryant:

They are still lookin good brother. Keep us posted when the youngsters hit the ground.

Mike:

I can't believe that you don't have papers on the Tweety line yet! That needs to be a top priority so we can sleep at night knowing she is Bonified!!!!! laugh  (Can't wait to see her in action)

Strikedog:

Get out of it YA HEA. (No more color questions for you buddy boy) Gentlemen please do not taunt my friend while he is in a state of mental weakness. He is recovering well from his last bout of brindle fever and we are trying to keep him from relapsing.

My old line of Catahoula's always has some Blacks in the litter.  Most out of my Dasie Blue dog no matter what stud I breed her too.

I hate too sell a dog too any one that is going too take it on a couple hundred mile ride and turn out the first night he has it.  Most times dog isn't going too really hunt as well as if it knew the new owner.
Matt knows the story on the dogs I sent too Fla. because he picked them up for me when the guy sent them back.
I have another Tweety son in LA. that is producing good pups also.

YBM: haha yeah that's them. Shhh your telling everyone our secret, since the hogs got to running more we went Aerial with our CroWs Smiley truthfully we've had a hard time keeping the black ones alive, whether it be hogs killing them or freak accidents.. it's just now that we finally have some good up and comers that are solid black! The red dogs are out of te same line. Girlfriend is Blasters niece and comes out of a solid black gyp. The black masked pup your referring to was Dixie! She was killed by a big Barr about 2 months and was the best out of that litter. That litter is out of cwards Ike and Girlfriend.. They're just about a year old and Have a TON of bottom and hunt. These dOgs hit the ground running

Matt, they are from the corrigan area, mostly Sullivan and a little whitworth is all I have left. They are all cob rough and my pups usually don't see a yr old   Got videos of two of my last litter at 3mths old... On their first hog around 70#s... I'll try to get it uploaded they were caught in less than 2 minutes...Thats why they have dwindled down so much over the last 10yrs They are real rough and it's their main draw back, by a yr old they weigh 85#s usually and long legged and bark bout twice. Average range about 600yds. That's why I got the Winchester gyp(Molly) to try to keep good proven blood and Mayb take sum roughness out and add a little range. She hasn't been bred yet.

She and her brother have been hog CRAZY since the first time they saw a pig (4 months old). Her brother is running with the big dogs and findin hogs. She is real independent, she will go do her own thang for a while and if she cant find sumthing she will go to the other dogs or come back and load up. Good looking dog you got there!

Chance,

Lots of catahoulas throw pure black pups. I've seen several different lines of yella dogs that throw various colors... one line brindles, one saddlebacks, one reds, one blacks. There's no telling what all dogs were in those lines to begin with. Wink

You really see a lot of black dogs and brindle dogs when you start cross breeding them.

I am pretty sure they were born early December of 2008.  We picked them up on the first weekend in Feb 2009 and they were about 8 weeks old.

So that would make her roughly 2 1/2 yrs?  She will go deep I give her that...  Turned her loose on a Barr with my bird dog behind Cleveland Mack at 930 am and me and johnnie finally called them off at 140 the next Mornin off 2666 other side of red road past Johnny don watsons... Over 16hrs straight and several miles... And several people were there that can vouch for it most of em are on here, lmao they said next time I turn that long winded $&@ loose to tie a brick to her leg lol I think her hip recovered ok Grin

I know his first name was Gary, a buddy of mine from Central FL went and bought 4 of I think 9 or 10 pups, It was a big litter and his got ran over. Another one works cows for a buddy of mine and mine are hog dogs in the making  Grin  My buddy who went and got them told me they were a good bloodline thats why he made the long drive and got 4 of em! They were a year old in April. Ive been pleased so far with them.
