The rig just finished moving across the road out of the woods and in to the open prairie...only 2 miles from our other site which was beautiful hardwood forrest...still have pigs and deer passing through...

had everyone on days while making the move, glad to be back on rotation.

My female mtn cur just had 4 pups yesterday and I left for an hr. to check on the pups, just got back. 2 were born with tails and 2 were born bob tailed...all are yellow and only had 1 female and she was stillborn so only have 3 males...mother nature started the culling process for me so hope that 1 makes a good to great hog dog. It would have been better if I had more to pick from just because it would of improved my chances of getting what I want...

I hope it is the one with the long tail...also because he  is darker yellow...2 points in his favor but those points are not that important... Grin Smiley

one more night after tonight and hope to make one hog hunt on my days off and go to the gun range on one of my days off...

thanks guys...I hope I do too. I am super picky when it comes to  dogs...to a fault actually Grin

I saw where someone is selling a 7 month old leggy red colored mtn cur pup with good ear and acting right...I am tempted to make the 4 hr trip... Grin you know how us dog folks get... Grin

Then someone else  is selling a pretty good mtn cur hog dog and the general descripton is about the same as the ones I used to hunt... so I am thinking I might have to go find a therapist cause I don't need to spend that kind of money and I don't have the space for that dog unless I move one of my other dogs that I haven't  had the chance to see what they can do...I don't like pure kemmer and that is what I have now...I like mtn cur but no more than 50% kemmer mtn cur. 50% kemmer and 50% original mtn cur works for me..
