WOW! I was gonna switch back to Sportsmix if the Victor kept going up... looks like i'll stick with Victor!

You might try Walker's Feed in Willis on the Sportsmix.

Just something to think about.  I know the same brands are not available in all parts of the country, but this idea can be applied to any brand.  I've used it about two months now.

I buy a 50 lb sx of FRM dog feed, (+/-$19.00 per bag).  I mix it in a plastic garbage can with 20 lbs of cat food,  (+/-$8 per bag).  That particular bag of cat food is 34% protein, and all other ingredient percentages are the same as puppy chow.  My daughter pointed this out to me.

I don't pretend to know anything about dog nutrition, but they all look good to me.

I think cannons is in tarkington or just past it, I think the road is called 360? If you take 105 east outa Cleveland and stay straight at the nice chevron for several more miles.

With sport mix being a 2 star dog food I switched to victor its a 4 star dog food. My dogs love it and look great. You can go to "my feed store" in grangerland its not mine that's just the name. You can register as a kennel and save around 8 dollars a bag from retail price. With the heat I am feeding 24-10 and its around 21 dollars. It is a 40 pound bag though

They even carry some of my cut gear there.

I always thought yall were talking about the same feed i feed when yall said sportsmix but i guess its not. i feed hunters special its 27-18 n a red bag out of mansfield,La. Do any of yall use that? It seems to do really well. It is 23$ a sack. Also they have some cheap feed called value pack 24/20 ive been using it for puppies and dogs i don't hunt just seeing how well it does and they seem to be doing great on it also. Just wondering if any of yall have these in your area and use it?

Yup I think I paid about $25 per bag around where I live but nothing beats sportmix.  Definitely not a 2 star dog food in my opinion.  I was feeding diamond high energy, but switched to star pro (red bag), and about a year ago finally to sportmix, and I dont think I will switch again even if the price keeps going up. I just like how sportmix always produces nice solid pellets to scoop where the diamond and star pro foods would sometimes end up as big ol nasty patties.

X2 I have tried a few different foods and sportmix is by far my fav. I wont stop feeding it evn with the price increase but hopegully can find a better price.... I feed the black bag and im pretty sure its 24:20.
