Jasonmac invited us up for midnight run at one of his deer leases this morning. We had Jason, Miranda, their son, OCD, UNDERDOG, myself and my two youngest. Some of the lease members have protein feeders up with cameras set up on them. A pretty good boar has been knocking on them with his head and dumping the protein out. We turned out Hunter, Striker and some young dogs out about a 1/2 mile from the feeder and roaded them in that direction. I watched Hunter and Striker on the the Garmin as soon as they jumped him, right at the feeder... the race was on. Lost them at about 1.2 miles and headed that way. Got to within 600 yards of where they fell off the radar and they popped back up at .92 headed back this direction... but moving slow. They crossed way up ahead of us and came bayed in a pond that was about dried up about 800 yards out. We started driving that way and all the young dogs headed to the bay as we got closer. Drove to within 150 yards and walked in. All the dogs had him spinning on the bank, nothing getting stupid and catchy... it was a pretty site with all the pups in there. Justin and I walked the bulldogs around to him and they sealed the deal... and Justin sank up to his waist in the mud as he went and legged the hog. Grin Got him tied and after talking it over, decided to go ahead and kill him to make the deer hunters happy.

Good hunt with good friends and family.

Ha ha... they won't stop growing!!!

I was real proud of Hunter and Striker, that race lasted over three miles in that thick, nasty, pine cut-over. They were smokin his tail over that 1st mile. When we drove up there and finally picked them up again, he slowed way down and was zigging and zagging... till he found that mud hole and had enough.

Thank you sir. I should have taken a picture across his back... all that protein has been real good to him in severe drought we're in. Grin
