Give him a little bit to get used to you. Do you have any idea how he is bred?

If any of my bull dogs, catches and kills one of my bay dogs, you can bet the farm on him not getting a second chance.  1 time is 1 too many, thats one thing I will not tolerate, at all.

With me, it all depends on the situation. If the bay dog starts it and gets hammered then I would expect nothing less from my "pit"bulldog. In fact at my house my pitbulls come first. I don't allow them to be dog aggressive but if I'm not around and it happens then it just happens.

That's because you don't have the bulldogs that I have.  Wink I have dogs that can not be reproduced.

I wouldn't own high dollar or high bred irreplaceable bulldogs if I planned to catch many hogs cuz their days are numbered, and if dogs are fighting at my house they catch lead poisoning end of story no matter how good they are... Not Puttin up with it... And it's rare a 40# Cur dog is doin the Jumpin on a gamebred 90# pit, usually the other way around but if I see who started it there gone, if not and ones still alive then there both gone... No room in the woods for a fighting dog and no excuse to feed one... Jmo

There is no such thing as a 90 lb gamebred pitbull. I won't catch with my brood dogs, I breed them and use the pups. I was into the bulldogs way before I got into hog hunting that is why I have the dogs I do. I don't own a bulldog over 48 lbs and that is fat and out of shape. In shape he will be about 45. Ch. Alligator and Gr. Ch. Mayday were considered big gamebred pitbulls and neither of them were 90lbs.

Well the bulldog weighing 80-90 pounds whatever breed they are is irrelevant fighting is as unacceptable for a 30# one as it is for a 90# one...or Cur dog too for that matter... I'm just very anti-dogfighting lol

It is not acceptable in the woods. I don't like it at home, but if it happens I figure out how to avoid it in the future. I know that dogs are territorial and understand that my dogs will defend their territory and if that means I lose a dog then damn the bad luck. Knock on wood though, I haven't lost one to a yard accident in five or six years.

I dont expect my bull dogs to set and take a whooping, and it does depend on the situation. I have a 0 tolerance for dog aggression, wether its posturing or what ever.
One of my main reasons for this comes from bear hunting. Imagine 20 - 30 dogs at a tree, pumped full of adrenaline, and one dog is walking around sizing up, every dog it comes across. Its eventually gonna start a fight and then you got done big dog fight.
And alot of big money dogs that belong to other people gettin tore up or killed over one ill

Then the bear gets away, that you've spent 3 days hard walking  trying to find. theres just too many other dogs out there to put up with aggression issues, wether its hounds, curs, or bulldogs.
I think we just totaly hijacked this thread, oops, sorry
