Maybe a stupid question but what does "jammed up" mean? Never heard of the term in relation to hog hunting. But I'm also a rookie!!

Don't feel too bad mom....until I joined here I don't think I'd ever heard the term 'rolled out' and I've been hunting hogs with dogs for over 35 years....I think it's a Texas term myself,....down south here we say the dogs 'lit out' or they 'took out' or maybe 'took off'....just never associated 'rolling' with a dog....but hey....I'm still not too old to learn something new now and then! |

peeled out, rolled out, lit out... all the same thing... just means they got gone lol ive heard the term rolled out for years from florida to mississippi to louisiana to alabama to texas... pretty common term from my experience but there are some texas terms out there i imagine |

Roll out means they left from a hog that they were baying, soon as the cd hits or shortly after to go find and bay hogs that left when the cd hit or some long range dogs will just leave the bay a get gone to find another hog somewhere.
Most rough dogs just want to stand around a caught hog and chew it up. I can't stand for a dog to do that. If they don't roll out they better get somewhere And shut up.
