Just wondering what yall prefer to use when it comes to hunting with bird dogs for hogs? Do straight bird dogs work good or do they work better being crossed with something?

I have a full German shorthair and a bird dog/cat cross...in my opinion there isn't anything u can cross a bird dog with that would improve them. They have the nose,drive,speed,stamina... I think full pointer is hard to improve but that's just me
