So I need your help  they have a fourm get a member ship its free and post some of yall's thoughts to show we are more powerful than Peta and see if we can't make it bigger than it is! Right now the story is in our favor but if peta out does us the story will be in there favor.
Here's the link. http://www.yourhoustonnews.com/cleveland/ I hope that worked if not Matt. Or Circle C will you get it up for me. Thanks

Are you saying that you would rather hang a man out to dry than stand up and fight beside him. That's a whole bunch of bull #2 right there.

If there was a fight I would be there. Im not aware of any current problems with peta. Im just saying dont put it in their faces. Handle them like a rattlesnake. Dont go poking them with a stick. Would u want peta walking thru your dog pens?

They can come thru my pens and look my place any time they want to.I have nothing to hide from anybody. But they had better have all their ducks in a row before they do.

What harm would come to me if Peta walked through my pens? Now I may be shooting a little off here, but last time I checked peta is just an organization. They are not law makers or law enforcers. They just like to make a bunch of suggestions and keep the pot stirred.

Sir I assure you that peta would have no problems poking you. As far as the rattlesnake, shoot em in the head before they bite you.

There's a lot of problems with PETA.  Ask anybody that produces chickens, eggs, runs a feedlot or rodeo's just to name a few. Horse slaughter is only one thing they've managed to screw up.  Any time they win any kind of victory their following increases along with their income which is what they're really after anyway.  More money=more of their compaigns=more membership=more money and trouble for those that enjoy the outdoors or make their living from agriculture.  PETA and HSUS may not make or enforce laws but they certainly buy legislators, and influence local animal control and humane societies and that's why they are dangerous.

I kinda agree with ric I would not and do not show it in their face I hog hunt. With that being said I sure stand up for tdha and lswda and do and would contribute what I can to hunting causes.  I don't have nothing to hide but sure don't want peta or for that fact many others coming around my house I guess you could call me a loner of sorts. I will try and get on there and post though if I can with my phone

It was a great article Chance.  I don't know how to change people perception of the world and that is what you have to do to get through to these people.  Generations of people that were raised farther and farther from reality and now outnumber those of us that were raised closely connected to nature livestock a 100 to 1.  They just watch the TV and read the paper and form their opinion from some slanted article or news clip.  If peta people are complaining then I can tell you that you probably said something that I agree with and nothing short of an act from God is going to change their or my opinion.

I think there's time's when you pick your battles... PETA is loaded with money. Given to them by tree humping hippy's. I don't think its about standing up for your rights. As much as how much money are you gonna spend on lawyer fee's.  YOU can rally all you want, but when it comes to money to help pay lawyer fee's. All your gonna hear is frogs and crickets ...

Thats a good article and very true. We have two horses now we dont know what to do with. One is going blind and cant be ridden safely, and the other is old and in bad health. I figue I have three choices:

#1- Do nothing and their health will continue to worsen and they will continue to suffer.

#2-Pay a vet $100 apiece to put them down, and a backhoe man $100 to dig a hole.

#3- Lead them to the burn pile and shoot them in the head, taking a chance on getting in trouble for cruelty to animals and not dispossing of the carcass properly.

Here is what would happen if the horse slaughter plants were open:

I would haul them to the sale barn and get a check for $500. Then I would carry my wife out to eat (helping the local economy) She would buy school clothes for the kids(helping the local economy) and so on.

This is not looking for a fight. We need knowledgable people to stand up and do something about this particular matter. There are tons of people around here that are having to feed an old useless horse cause they can't even give it away. Most of them are in bad need of money but still have to buy feed and hay for the horse. And if PETA can find something wrong with your dog yard, go ahead and fix it. If they came over to my place they'd find some mighty happy and extremely healthy dogs.

Very good article Chance. Hope i sheds some light on the problem... a couple of weeks ago I was on my way to hunt with Mike and Bryant and had to stop on old houston rd. after almost hitting a horse. He was skinny as heck and had nothing at all on and his feet looked horrible. I tied him to a tree with mule tape and called mongomery county pd.  I figured this had just been turned loose or broke out to find food or water. I see skinny horses all over my neck of the woods and it make me and my family sick. my daughter barrel raced for a few years and we have a love for all horses. good work Chance

I hope PETA dont read this. They will not go away because you choose to ignore them.

And I guess y'all dont think Peta had any input in the TX puppy mill law? They are already working on you and they are out of sight doing it.
