Lost a good one this last weekend.... Tom was the kind of catchdog that if a bay broke once you cut him loose, you better try to keep up because he was going after it... We had several hunts where we would pick him up a couple miles from where we cut him loose... Had a bay going about 3 am sunday morning and cut him loose... the bay breaks as soon as i let him go and they end up deep in one of the worst saw briar thickets ive been in.... Long story short, by the time i can get in there and get him some water, it was too late... R.I.P. Tom  |

Sorry for your loss... I recently also lost a seasoned catchdog to heatstroke. It is still hard to feed the dogs and see her empty kennel. IT'S ALWAYS THE GOOD ONES !
