Decided to make a quick hunt with Luke W. Sunday morning, but ended up getting a late start. We didn't get out to our hunting spot in Limestone County till about 8:30am. It was already starting to warm up, but to make the best of it I decided to cast the dogs out one time.

While we were unloading, clouds started to roll in and bought us some time. We cut out the dogs and waited.....

Our first cast was uneventful with the dogs hunting a couple good blocks of woods, but coming up empty handed.

We casted them out the second time and they hunted out 750yds to a conservation lake and bayed solid.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/c8TLmkgymro" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/c8TLmkgymro</a>

We ended up with a good little Bo and some good excitement to boot.

After getting the 1st Bo taken care of, we sent the dogs out again and in the mean time Luke asked me if I thought he could climb a particular tree… lol Well hell nooo, I said knowing that as soon as his climbs up, I’m looking for rocks. I will say this; you are pretty vulnerable in a tree… lmao

Lucky for Luke, before I could re-create “Black Hawk Down”, the dogs struck again. We drove up a couple hundred yards and sent the cd’s in to seal the deal.

The dogs rolled out  after and ended up catching out on a lil bo about 75lbs in another conservation lake. We made our way to them as quick as we could to attempt a rescue, but arrived too late. The savages had drowned the poor fella and were standing on him to keep them afloat.

Demonstrating our never leave a man behind attitude, Luke went in for the recovery.  Needless to say, it was getting pretty warm after that and I felt that we had pushed our luck with the heat for long enough and we decided to call it a day.

Nicely done.

I made the same mistake Luke did one day playing paintball. I'm not sure how many paintballs hit me on the way out of the tree as I jumped, but I was out of that game, and the next.  Wink

Richard,

That video has some strange footage.  I thought you had different intentions when I heard the belt disengage.  Talking with you Tx boys, I thought you were all the same.  It is good to know you had a different game plan than Helm and the Little Timmy.   Cheesy

You know at first I thought that Cutter was just picking on your swimming skills (or lack there of), because he likes giving you a hard time. But now after watching his obsessive behavior towards the situation I think its clear to see that all the joking is his way of coping with the thought of you nearly drowning. So i have a real simple plan so we can all move past the troubling experience.
Mr. Cutter Bay please send Brian one of the Flordinian Super Dogs  pictured below.

Once super dog arrives Brian will have someone to watch his every move and make sure one of these near death experiences happens again. Then Cutter you can stop loosing sleep over the thought of something happening to Brian. Plus Brian can stop wearing those goofy looking water wing floaties everytime he's hunting. It's truly a win win for all parties Grin  Grin
