Threw this thing together today. Still got to run a water line to it and come up with some kind of presidential solution to run the dog turds back to a ditch behind it. There's a few little things I keep thinking of to change but its coming along.

Just for bthe record, this is also the first thing I've ever made out of wood besides a fire. I'm used to making everything out of metal so don't look too close at it. There's probly all kinds of stuff I did wrong but I can say that it is perfectly square from top to bottom.

Purebreedcolt,

It was built out of neccesity and I needed it in a hurry and only need one. The way I did it, I will be able to come off the sides with as many more as I want but unless I get a catchdog I'm good for now. Definitely going to build one or two more before huntin season though.

I like it... The only thing I think you did wrong was spend to much money on materials. It prob could've been done cheaper with less materials..but hey if you ever wanna turn it in to a deck just push the kennals off. The only other prob I just thought about which prob wouldn't happen but could would be a accidental fire.

I think the wood and tin were around $500 and the chain link fence about 300 at tractor supply.

To fix the fire hazzard in a kennel a person could run a heavy monofilament line around the outside of the kennel attached to a weight hanging up high and another heavy nylon string or cable going to a long handled valve so the weight could open the valve if the monofilament ever got hot and broke. You could make a cheap sprinkler out of one piece of small PVC with holes drilled in it. Sounds crazy but I bet it could save a dogs life.

Brain I think it looks absolutely god awful. I can't believe you would actually subject Chockie, Woody, and Cooper to such embarrassment!!   Evil

Just joking with you bud, it looks awesome, when you gonna come build mine?

HAHAHA! Thanks for the compliment. I doubt Woody and Chockie will ever darken it's doorway. I'm going to put the new pups in it. Gunna try to expand it to make 3 or 4 more kennels so I could have a catchdog in one, and each other dog in one. Let's wait till cooler weather to build you one. I had my cousin over here helping and I made him sick as a dog. I think he threw up stuff he ate last Christmas.

A guy that works for us has her. He likes her. He kept her when we went out of town and I told him if he liked him to keep him.
