Thank you for the kind words everyone. Matt, no it wasn't heat or a hog. We were headed out to go hunting and as we got near our hunting spot a bunch of deer ran across in front of our truck and he lunged at them and broke his clip and fell between the truck and trailer....... VooDoo paid the ultimate price for hard lesson learned. That will never happen to another one of our dogs.

I sure hate to hear that ya'll, we lost our pit/dane cd this spring and my wife cried for a week. Some dogs seem more human than dog, like they really know what you are thinking. Those are hard to replace. RIP VOODOO!

My condolences, we lost our CD 4 years ago and to this day it doesnt feel the same to go to with out him...he was the keeper of our yard, a guardian over our son and just an all round pleasure to have so I can only imagine your pain:(
