Smoke is currently 55lbs last time i checked. Was kinda curious how much bigger he might get. He looks little to me but i set my standards so hi cause mt last pit was 140lbs.
anyways he not to short leged and really bulky. im just kinda hoping he will get to about 90lbs.

Most the time they will hit their height by a 12-14 months then they will put on the bulk thicken up widen out and most are threw by 20 mo some may take it a little longer to 24 but not many.
At least that has been my experience.

how old is the pup? a 60 lb pitbull is a nice sized catch dog and if it is a little on the leggy side should be an agile dog.

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...

Genetics is the key to how big he will get. Mom and dad are an estimate on what he will be. Although if he has a gene from back when. He could be smaller or bigger. I honestly think food quality and amount is like 25% what changes a dogs size in its lifetime.Just my thoughts tho. I know a certain group was taking blocky mastifs and mixing the pitbull breed together to make bigger blocker animals. I think you can expect most dogs to stop growing at about 2ish years. There isn't really a fine line tho I have a 6 month old blue pit. Sire-110lbs Dam-60lbs

Dang! my Dogo is 50lbs at 18 weeks, but he is all legs and head. That must have been a big pit, was he pure pit?? ADBA allows pit/mastiff crosses to be registered as pits. I dont know why, but I think it is all the sled pull stuff. I have never heard of a game bred that was even 100 lbs, Im sure people have them, I just never heard of or seen one in person.

Okboa.rhunter, not trying to start anything, I just call it how I see it. I have to call bs on the 140lb "pitbulls". Either the dog is not 140lbs or the dog is not a Colby dog. I know it sounds cool to say "I have a Colby/Rednose dog but the reality is most people haven't ever seen the name Colby on a set of papers. Rednose just refers to the color of the nose, it is not a bloodline. There is a family of dogs that dogmen call Old Family Rednose and this refers to a group of different old bloodlines of dogs that came rednosed, such as the Hemphill and Wilder lines.
