hi,first off im new to the site and this is my first post. long time listner first time caller, lol. Im from south florida and been huntin quiet awhile and am just gettin into plotts and currently have cur dogs with some up and coming plotts. I just breed a full blooded plott hound to a brindle pit /cur gyp that pretty much is a RCD. How do you think these pups will turn out? Father is hard huntin dog.

If the plott is from a gritty line of plotts I think that most of the pups will be real gritty and as far as hunt goes I would guess not all the pups will be long range hunting dogs. I would keep as many pups as possible and try to pick the type of pups you like from the litter...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
