Very nice looking box, you obviously know your way around a chop saw, everythings real nicely. the cuts in the wood on top to allow for the cattle pannel are also quite impressive! Micheal are you really gonna go make those dogs trash on a bear?

Nice box, but curious why you dont make one for the front of the truck so you can see if the dog is winding as you drive. Seems like you get a sore neck ooking behind you all of the time. Do you have a rig dog now that will bark at night if he is snapped in?? It seems like if you build a striking box on the front bumper the dog get blinded at nite a lot, needs to be above the headlight beams. I used to mess with hood hunting but idiots i took hunting would fall alseep at nite or be 1/2 asleep and nearly run over a dog if it jumped off the hood and driver was noding off or if a hog jumped out in front of the headlights. Dog needs to be snapped in for sure i figure most of the time, it gets really old loading the dog up and down off of a hood several times at night like if they come off to go check out a crossing or tank where hogs are on and off depending. But we were truck hunting large places with like 20 tanks to drive by and check in 100 degree night time temps and trying to keep dog fresh.

Nice looking box and you did a good job on the 45's and the gaps on the gate. The only thing that I can see that would be a problem for me is that a young dog could go threw the panels, but if you only had grown dogs you shouldn't have any problem.

Awesome box. You motivated me to start one this week. Haven't built one in a while. What size square stock is that? Thanks J.D.

Thanks for the good replies guys.
Knightstockterrier - The box was designed to fit in the bed of a Polaris Ranger and yes we do have some rig dogs that sound off when they hit a scent. When we hunt Bear we normally have a couple of hounds that will start one from the box and then we send the curs with em.
C4Kennels - You are right about the little ones squeezing through the panels, but with the 6X6 holes the older dogs can stick there heads out the sides and wind as well as the ones on top.
curdog87 - The tubing is 1" by 1"
Thanks again Rodney
