JerryG breeds for blood trailing. He had some pups in early June, not sure if they have all been placed. Might try pm'ing him.

I did but all of them have gone the two I have for me are doing vary well. I would sell one of the two but won't be cheap now they are doing to well.

Catchrcall I really don't have one breed necessarily as long as they are from proven tracking lines, must be a bid dog though no small dogs. And yes I would like to stay in TX.

I got some jagd pups in they are natuarl at blood trailing ! One 5 month old jagd found a doe last year 1 1/2 miles away from where the kid shot his first deer they are long range ! u can't go wrong with a jagd

Go to the HOG DOG section. Click on " Catahoula? " thread. Jason Dunn has some pups 75% Catahoula, 25% Black mouth curs. That would be some good pups to make blood trail dogs with. It is not hard to train them to blood trail deer.

Most of my experience with blood dogs has been beagles. Easy to handle on a lead and they wont stop til the trail ends or you find out its not going to. Plus, beagles are fairly easy to find.

Any cur or terrier peeps hunt on here will work, just curious why and what kind of bird dog you want for blood trailing??? Beagle too.

KST, I meant big dog lol, no terrier breeds. I know I can use any breed of cur I just would like to up my chances of making a good dog by getting a pup from proven stock.  |

Thanks everyone for your replies and help, I found what I was looking for I hope. I'm getting 2 - 3/4Bmc 1/4Blue Lacy pups from around the Texarkana area. They are getting picked up tonight by Cajun Express and will be in San Antonio tomorrow night for me to pick up. They will then come down 3 1/2 more hours to Falfurrias and start their new lives on the ranch.
