We live out on an old backroad with a total of 4 houses. I have HUNTING DOGS. My neighbors have 5 dogs a lab mix a anatolion shepherd mix a blue Wheeler mix and a catahoula I gave them and a collie mix. He runs cattle but non of his dogs have a job except the catahoula he was started on hogs but had more intrest in cows is why he got him but anyway. They feed all them dogs and they bark all night long which get my dogs to barking and mine are hounds so its kinda load. They bitch and complain bout my dogs all the time but my dogs have a job unlike there mutts. I just don't see how someone can feed and defend a dog that has no purpose. People like that piss me off

Yea they always bitching. Like when I take my dogs to the baypen to work my pups I use a dog on the outside well there dogs come over here and jump on him. I don't say anything but when my dogs get off the chain and go over there and get there cats they never shut up about it. Like lastnite that damn lab mix barked all night long my dogs know what a bark is so they got excited and barked right along with it I'm so pissed

Sounds like you both are irresponsible dog owners.
First thing you can do is get YOUR dogs under controal.

Stop them from barking. This is most easily done with a bark collar or a water sprinkler set up in front of your kennels.  There is no reason for dogs to bark uncontrollably.

Second is to stop YOUR dogs from getting off their chains and getting after their cats. Dogs don't have thunbs and can't let themselves off, so something in the chain setup is failing. Find the weak link and fix it. I would be happy to post pictures and explain how to make a reliable chain rig if you would like.

After your dogs are under controal you have a lot more room to complain about theirs.

Not being ugly, just some constructive criticism.  Wink

You ain't alone! Most of my neighbors had numerous dogs that ran loose; some still do. Good fences make good neighbors; haven't had trouble from that one in some time. Just paid another neighbor $400 in damages to a vehicle because my pets chased their cat over 500 yrds. from my house to theirs and treed it in her engine compartment. Dolly the feral terrier is gamey; well for 10lbs. anyway. Lola is around 35lbs. and was in on the bay and almost managed to get shot. This guy shot 2 of another neighbors dogs for being in his yard. Needless to say the were upset, but all this went down in about 5 minutes and I was asleep while the opens the back door and the race is was on. I told them I was building a fence and they said no; they like making their yard look bigger, but don't like my dogs. Go figure. Lol. I handed them the money and no complaints since. Good luck!

Shankem, u said ur dogs chased THEIR cat from YOUR yard. I can see payn for damages if ur dogs were in their yard n started the bay over there, but i wouldnt pay a penny if their animals were in my yard antagonising mine till mine lit out n stayed with the chase. JMO. Do u own/buying or renting your yard n house? Where do they get off telln u, u cant build a fence on ur propert, just bc it will make their yard look smaller, but yet complain bout your dogs. If ur renting or own/buyin, its ur place to do as you see fit to insure you hav as much positive control over ur land and pets. I know we need to learn to cooperate, but there is a line that needs not be crossed n it sounds like ur neighbors are crossing that line, again JMO. Hope it works out for you. Hey pig snatcher, iv had dogs get off thrir chains too and would like to see you set up. I got a couple dogs i have to keep kenneled and chained just to make sure they dont get out of my yard. Thanks ahead, for posting ur info on the chains.
