When I moved to Freeport in 1974 there weren't very many hispanics around. Then the 80's rolled around and now we have a taco stand in every corner...

X3 I was in military,  in my day this kind of Anti-American Arrogance would not have been tolerated as it is today by our air-headed youth, illegal aliens,and minorities allowed to vote, while collecting their govt. give aways provided by our taxpayer law abiding citizens.

I don't know you but I take offense to your banket statement you are making about minorities. I am MEXICAN AMERICAN or I will say I AM AMERICAN...i did not join the armed forces but my father and uncle served during WW2 for almost 5 years. My GGgrandfather was born in Texas and I retired from a major company and paid my taxes and continue to pay taxes as well as I am working in another field.

and for obama getting voted in as president... took a lot more than minority votes to vote him in...matter of fact there were quite a few minorities that did not vote for him.

After George Bush I guess some wanted change...

Yellowblackmask, I am a vet. Spent 13yrs n the army, and litteraly broke my back for them and for a bunch trash in american to help vote that dorry pos into office. I'm not worried if they r tracking my conversation, as a matter of fact i would giv it a 98% chance they are monitoring my vomms, since im in afghanistan. Im with u also, im decendent of them dour kraut eatn piglatin speaking germans, and proud of it, but Im also an AMERICAN, not a german-american, just a plain ole american. There shouldnt be any other country put before america if u claim urself as an american. Aint none of this asian-american, african-american, mexican-american and so on. either ir an american or ur not. The american flag flies above any other country if on american soil, and equal to on highth when on another countries soils, NOT the other way around. This whole im a whatever american aint rite, ur either american or not n if u want to claim that other country before my country, then feel free to pack up n move there. This country used to a country that others looked up to and admired, but now it a country that others n their populas look down upon, laugh at and want to exploit it for everything they can take, and laugh all the way to bank at us. This country used to be where u could dream of something and hav the will power and mindset to achieve ur goals and flurish, but now its a country that instead of flurishing, its more like being flushed, flushed down the #2 pipe. U want to claim to be an american, then claim whole heartedly and help it thrive and flurish, as did the germans, irish, scots, norweigans and thousands of other europeans when they pavk up there entire belongings, got on a boat n headed to america to live out there lives and dreams in harmony. I will say that you are correct in that the generation before you has just as much blaim on them aswell for those who voted him in. Why are so many people so thin skined now days? You hav to look at yourself and ask yourself, do i fall into the catagory that is being stated, did i do that or am i part of that group? If your not involved with the group being profiled, then why take offence to what is being said? For us to go back the days of the republic, its gonna take another revolution. With likes that machine 73 spoke about, the Ignorant n selfish populus, will hav to either band together or be wiped out during the countries cleaning of governments. We need to band together n take back our country, if we're to hav a free country. It would require leaders and followers, followers that will do what it takes to win n not quaral with each other when times get tough. It will require loss of life, but it will be an acceptable loss as long as we remain free or atleast freedom for our future generations to look back on and do whats right for the good of the people in whole, not just the small populous of the wealthy to buy their veiws. Something needs to happen to right the wrong ourselfs have allowed our government to do, and do with out the acknowledgement of the country as a whole. We need to take back our control, but to many will sit back and say Not me, i dont wanna die. I perdonaly would rather die a free man or die for freedom, rather than live life as a slave of tyranny. We need to unite as 1, not as a bunch of the few.

Its not if you were not in the military, its if you ARE in the military but NOT in uniform is when you dont have to salute, unless at a function that requires the wear of civies and only during reporting to the formation leader and unit commander. FM 7-21.13 governs army customs and courticies and part can be found AR 670-1, which governs wear and appearance while in and out of uniform and what customs are required when out of uniform. But yes, he should atleast put his hand over his heart, if he even has 1
