Not really equipment but I found this recently. Made one for myself. They are a bit on the small side. can make one house out of a sheet of plywood and some 2X2's.

i would categorize that as dog equipment, and if you've used it and it works then it fits in this section.  Wink Sean

I make a regulare dog house barrel, then splitt another barrel long ways then across.  Take the 1/4 barrel and bolt it on top of the dog house w/ what used to be the top/bottom facing out.  Works really good at keeping the rain out. I have several like that, will take a picture.

This was kinda from a long time agao but lemme ask this, ive heard that int he summe rif you keep a dog confined in a barrel dog house or a woods one like that the hair will fall of the dog. is this true? i only let me dogs have thier houses in winter, summer they lay on wood playforms. inside a kennel.

Not true.

A dog may have had a reaction to the bedding that was in the house but not from staying in a dog house.

mkay i was just wondering because ive heard it form a few people and we normally just use hay. pretty much the same setup you have there but since we thought it made dogs lose hair we didnt chance it to keep em out during summer.
