Dose any budy use the tuff skin antennas on the garmin tracking collars? are they actualy any better than the oem ant
ennas?

I have them on all of mine. They are 100% tougher than the OEM. I haven't done any tests side by side in the woods but using them in the same places I used the oem antennas, I feel they get a little better signal. Nothing extraordinarily better though.

x2, they seem to hold signal better and get slightly better range....

i use sunglass rubbers the ones that you hang on your neck wal mart has about 15 diff colors

Had a dc 40 that was only getting about 400yds. Got a tuff skin now its working right.

id say better than oem. i got one for my hand held too. from allen wells in cleveland. search him on here.

I think its the best thing since sliced bread. I replaced 2 and left the others till they fell apart. Which didnt take to long. They are cheaper then the OEM replacements. They even have a little better distance too.

Bruce Conkey (who came up with them, research and all) told me that Garmin has indicated that they will start coming stock on all DC-40's that are being produced from here forward.

I replaced both of my dc 30 ant. with a piece of plastic coated cable.  I made them a little longer
and I get about 400 more yards out of mine.  I have not had any problems, they look like an ant. off
of a Johnson collar now.
