G'day fellas,

thought that I would post a few photos from our trip last weekend.  Every year a few mates and I get together and have a good time.  This year we went to a new property that was 11 hours drive west of here.  It was quite remote and 2 hours west of Bourke in NSW.  There are no towns or facilities whatsoever, except one pub 100km away.

The pigs were a little down on numbers, as the swamps had dried out from earlier in the year.  Still we got 40 pigs for the 3 days and some reasonable sized ones (no real big ones, not enough food for them out there).  Most of the pigs had never seen a quad bike, we had about 6 charge the bikes.  We had 7 dogs and caught all the pigs with dogs, no shooting this time.  One bitch got injured on its first pig and one other is just a pet.  So the 5 remaining dogs did well.  I hope you enjoy the photos.  Any questions please ask.

PS I pick up the BMC's from quarantine this saturday.

cheers

Troy

Good run Troy, I love the shirts.

What type of dogs were you running on this hunt?

Paul,

thanks,

a variety of dogs, but more leaning towards baydogs that catch on command these days - less injuries.  Breed is not really important.  All of the dogs were catching pigs on their own.  Caught a couple with the quads as well.

Looks like mission accomplished.  The terrain looks pretty wide open.  Was most of the land that you hunted that way?  The shirts are classic.  Grin

thanks fellas yes it was a really good time...the 48 beers crack is a poke at me...previous trip I got bit by a dog and ended up in hospital.....

we didn't go crazy but had a few beers when we stopped for lunch....and when we met up with the fellas on the bike...I thought we took it easy but when we cleaned up before leaving there was enough empty beer cans to make a small boat.....

cheers

Very nice haul of pork you got there! so you are getting the yellow dog fever too? and I see few of the Aussies are leaning more towards using bay dogs these days is that starting to be the trend? or just a few thinking outside the box?
