started the hunt out driving around some farmland letting hercules wind from the truck which he did three diffrent times and caught 3 small sows, and a few piglets not sure on the count dogs just crunch and go lol. Things seemed to slow down so decided to go check some water holes in a near by ranch.after cumming up short at half dozen water holes finally noticed a little sign at the next hole went ahead and dumped 5 dogs out hercules and casper imediatly left running hard straight south then not far behind hawk , pete ,and o-ryan took out watching gps and listing for a bay still nothing on the gps casper and hercules had a considerable lead on the pack and now aproaching a mile away I started trying to get closer to them and not get to close still running hard got within 800 yards finally herd a bay and noticed the pack was still not there but closing the gap fast butr I still drove and got within 234 yrds and herd the fight was on even hawk was baying (my roughest dog only second time ever herd him bay)
at arrival of bay noticed hercules was already cut down and curled up in a ball and expired (r.i.p) the rest of the dogs were baying machines but were not seeming to work togather taking their catching oppertunities on a indivdual basis ?? y i do not know usually work great togather I did have a small young catch dog with me so released and her and hawk caught hard others still bayed I moved in and the hog ditched both dogs spun around and lunged at me cutting my pants leg just inside my knee but missed me thank goodness and out the back door the boar went only to make it 20 or 30 yards they stopped him again this time the bulldog couldnt seem to hang on at all with every attemp the boar moved little more and little more soon the boar messed up and backed up against a small fence around a gas valve and I was able to get my hands on him and so did all the dogs. every dog there recived staples they bayed their buts off and did every thing they could to prtect me ,got to love my yellers..

Sorry to hear that...one boar hog can ruin a pack.  Hopefully Hawk comes through.
