Thats what I was wondering. The vet says they are good for 3 years, but TX law requires em every year.

because my jags kill any thing they can catch like coyotes in anything they get there teeth on i have lost a dog to rabies so my vet said to give them the 1 time a year shot every 6 to 8 months im not taking a chance with my dogs ! u would do the same if u had the dog for 3 year

After the dog's 2nd birthday, they will give the 3 year shot. Thats the way my vet says the law reads |

It's similar in LA. Here we can buy the shots at the feed store and administer them, but if animal control comes check they will make you go to the vet. |

I had a jack russel that bit a boy that was in my yard. Animal control gave me hell cause I didn't have a rabies tag. I get my shots at feed store. They wanted to take the dog for 14 days. Luckily our vet over here gave me some paper cause he knew I had given them the shots.
