Whats Best Insurance for iphone4 att from apple???

Been trying to figure out which insurance to buy for my apple iphone 4, i thought my old apple iphone3 had insurance as i bought applecare for 3 years from the att store  The phone was a year and 4 months old and quit holding a charge and i tried to update it so would get a new phone asap  So much red tape and hassle trying to get them to warranty it and the lost time without a phone was unreasonable, if i got it back up to them i had to agree to a $400 charge to my card if the phone was not covered and had got in water  I was looking at a 1 week maybe turn around and no phone if i used there fedex box pickup system live on ranch where its miles to front gate and no cell phone so how was i going to get a call from fedex driver to go up to front gate and drop off the bad iphone??  Crazy idots  So i bought a brand new iphone4 apple att for $450 SO I would have a phone same day and not have to wait for the applecare warranty to figure out how to deny coverage which i figured they would do automaticlly  Anyways now att is trying to sell me a insurance policy for the new iphone 4, its $7 a month and $150 deductable but i found another insurance with a consumer report very excellent rating for $6 A month 50 buck deductable cover water theft just about anything  What kind of insurnce DO YOu guys have on yalls phone and how did it work if you had to use it?  I found out when i finally get this phone back the simms cARD will be deactivated and its either repaired or replaced with another iphone 3, what can i do with this old phone att iphone3 when i get it back, will anybody buy it or can i use it as a camera or paperweight??   I can you tell you applecare is horrible and its not insurance like i was told by lying saleperson

Just buy an otter box and if the phone gets damaged in it they replace the phone.

150 deduct+7 dollars a month lets say a year if something happens=$274.... is what your gonna pay out. At that time the Iphone5 will be out and you can go buy an Iphone4 for $299 or cheaper...Don't waste your money..... Buy the battery on ebay. Then go to youtube. The battery swap is easy...

Think u are correct, i went and looked at iphones on ebay, u can get one used or reverbed cheaper than the screwy insurance with high deductable, dont make economic sense, wish i had known of a place to take it for testing besides att store, they suck and i think missed what was wrong with this phone still  When i got the new iphone4 charger i pluged in my old iphone 3 in it for 2 day, heck it came on and i could see the screen again, my old charger was messing up and i think now the usb port was loose or corroded or worn bad so it did not charge with a good connection, because the 3 would get really hot trying to charge and then the lite would not come on the charger   I have found stores that will test it for free and install a new battery right there and then to see if that is the problem, gees what a scam these phones are nowdays if you dont keep up  When i get the iphone3 back if they replace the battery under warrany i will never send anything back to apple, it would have been the best move to find an independent store, buy a battery and see it that worked and let them test it right then and there instead of apple charging my card for $500 for the phone to be sent back to insure i send the spare one back until mine is fixed  I had no idea there was such a repair store where u could walk in and buy a battery and get the dude to checkout the phone without all of this fedex dramma and chargeing my credit card  Thanks for the tip
