Been hard to get motivated with the heat but finally got my lazy butt up and made a morning hunt. Visited with Patrick (Meatdog) yesterday and decided to make a hunt on a place I have in Mills County.

We met up at 6:00 am. I brought my three Jagds and two bulldogs...Jack and 11 month old pup....Cuz. We started with Luke up front on the console winding. Drove to the far east pasture of the ranch to hit some water holes where hands have been seeing hogs. Luke bailed...runs 300 yards and opens bayed.

Good start....we head over to a draw that has several water holes down the way...send Luke and Sis back to the west. Luke makes a loop and briefly bays a hog before it broke and ran half mile. Follow on the ranger and garmin is showing them bayed. Pulled up on the high point of a water hole and they have a good hog stopped in the mud. Got some quick bay footage and catch video

Video:

I was cool because I wollered in the mud so we moved areas for one last cast.  Grin Put Luke up and cast Buster and Sis. They went about half mile and spilt. Sis rolled out a little over a mile and showed bayed...Buster looped around behind us. Ended a short morning hunt with Sis on a small sow and three for the morning.

Good Bo Bump!  That mud in that pond is the worst kind and can get you or your dogs in a bind quick!

Hey thanks so much for taking me out today.  Learned a ton!  You have some incredible dogs.

Glad we kept the ranger moving cause you were pretty rank covered in that mud!

Looked like a good time, and a good hog.  You're lucky to get outta that mud with both shoes.  That's some pretty nasty looking stuff there.
