countryboy dont pay for spots just hang out with us and all the other people we trade spots with. remember this is for fun and watching your dogs do there job not about the money. too many good spots to hunt for free and too many bad spots to pay for

not in my neck of the woods. i hunt with different guys all the time that have other places to go and they would probably sell you their sister than let me hunt one of their spots. i know where their places are  and i don't hunt them because i don't want to burn bridges. know what i mean. best thing is to go knock on doors and just ask i guess.

id suggest finding somebody that was honest and trustworthy to go hunting with and learn the ropes .  then as you get older youll know the sport .      and if you treat it and others with the same respect it wont be long and youll have more huntin than you can do.

I started hog hunting a little over a year ago.  I bought a couple of young cur pups and a Dogo pup and thought I'd train them to hunt as I learned the sport.  Mistake.

Reflecting back, now, the correct approach wold be to meet some folks and hunt with them.  Hunt a variety of different ways, with different types of dogs.  Find out what works for you and what doesn't.

Then get a well started or finished dog that hunts like you want.  Start building your pack to be how you want it.

I think I saw on another thread that you are twelve.  Always remeber this.  You have 40-50+ years of good hunting ahead of you.  Don't be consumed by the idea that you got to do everything right now.  Take it slow and have fun as you go.
