My dog wil semi catch for a minute an then let go until the pig gets rowdy again I just want to know why or if that's something normal?   What would be tge reason behind a dog humpin a pig about the same size as him?   Any advice would help

humping is acutally a sign of dominance so i guess hes makin that pig his b*tch  laugh

Try holding him back more and making him watch maybe it will make him want it that much more and hold on longer.  Especially in a bay pen.  Put him on a leash and show him the hog over and over then maybe in the woods he will not let go.

yea gotta tease him alittle but be careful in the training since hes still young he could lose his teeth

it the dog to a post, and leg the pig and walk it over to his face to where he can barely reach it and just tease him, so since he lets go of the pig make a mopping motion to him with the pig and everytime you pull back he will want to hold on longer

i did this with my bulldog since he was older and i had to use a break stick on him to get him off

Well maybe if he's quick about it you won't have to worry about that hog going anywhere if he gets knotted up. Lol might want to bring something besides a break stick to get him off that one. Grin you could be on to something lol jk
