Ive always been told it was cause they was wormy, but my dogs get Wormed regularly. Ole Smokey will jerk me bout out of the rd to eat some grass, and noticed it was only a certain kind. I have heard several theorys, just wondered if any one knew the real reason.

I saw something about that a few years ago....some dog guru said it was because they like it....guess that makes the most sense to me.

I've heard all the stories about why they eat grass, wormy, upset stomach, tryin to make themselves throw up, etc. etc.  But when it comes down to it they are just dogs and sometimes a dog just wants to chew on something , like grass.. I had 3 pups show bayed on the garmin about a year ago and I thought oh yeah the pups done got em one. I got to them and they were all 3 standing in the middle of a big nice food plot grazing. And they all get wormed regular and are fed some good dog food.. They just dogs..

Just like any animal; wild, domestic, human, etc. have a natural curiosity to explore something different, possibly for the iodene, the vegetable matter, for upset stomach to throw up, the food plot=protein, etc.

Chain, that sounds like something that would happen to me. Would have liked to have seen the look on your face, when you walked up on that.  Shocked
