think duo pen is a little cheaper and if it was me i would littlerly saturate the infected area with it and if it is a puncture wound squirt it up into the wound.  We tried it this year on deer and if it works as well on dogs as it did on deer it is the miricle cure lol if there is one.

go to the vet for some di-trim(something like that) I think pen-aqueous is more of a preventative for infection.

I have used the Pen Aqueous for years, very happy with it, just recently tried the Dura Pen and did not see the same results, will be using the Pen Aqueous from now on and save the other stuff for my equines.

I usually start the med/latrge dogs with 3cc under the skin first day and then back off to 1 & half cc each day there after in different spot under the skin. It burns really good if given cold so I usualy let it warm up and then shake really good before drawing up, then I let the stuff warm to room temp in the syringe before giving

I give about three ccs each day for up to a week if already infected. Let it get up to temp. in syringe. Usually takes care of most infections. Better to use right after recieving a wound to prevent an infection. Just make sure there is nothing in the wound. Clean it good with betadine, slap a little nitrafuracin on it . Good luck with your dog. If that don't work switch to a different antibiotic.

Im no expert but always heard penn is like a preventative. If the infection has already started i use amoxicillan on my dogs.

Do you inject it under the skin anywhere on the body like the back of the neck or in the area of the infection?
