If you had to completely rebuild your pack what kind of dogs would you use and where as in whom would you get them from?

Bob Cox  bred YBMC dogs would be my first choice, if I didn't go back to what I have already. either way it would be a rougher style dog for the new area I'm moving to

 buy a boat. Grin

Start off by finding a dog that I want all my dogs to hunt like and buy it. Spending 200-500 here and there for pos dogs is a waste. Spend the time hunting with people and make the first dog you buy what you want pups to end up like then spend time hunting with others to find a dog that fits into your idea of a dog.

I'm in the process of starting over right now. Have 2 pups from CrackerC right now, not sure where I am going to go from here though.

The plott breeders I got some of my original dogs are no longer living or have gotten out of the game, so I would have to find those who had pups out of them and then convince them to sell me a pup or two, (I prefer to get my dogs in pairs, it is easier on the pups and me).

Good luck finding a good plott. Hey, it will be easier than finding a walker worth feeding.  Evil

cutter,
thanks, they usually had a good handle and were good hunters, but it was thier damn barking that got to me. I can handle a bark or two but barking to bark and then bark at themseleves again go to me, we got them all as pups and raised them alongside our brindles but they just did not have a mute button.

The same man I got my females from.  Wink

If he was gone, I'd go to buddies that hunt pups off of my stock. I'm covered.  angel

First thing I'd do is find a guy THAT ACTAULLY CATCHES PIGS....  hunt with him, if the dogs hunt the way I like to hunt... I'd do what I had to to try and get some blood off them...

For me, I'd probably go back to my buds Donny Woods or Fred Stuart... but that's prolly a WAY different type dog than you want...

Shoot, you're asking questions that were answered years ago. What would make me think you have the new and improved line of dogs with that type of mentality?   Evil

You've got to be a leader, not a way back yonder follower.  Cool
