Me, Aaron, and Tait decided late friday night to get up early and make a short run Saturday morning to try and catch some hogs. We let out about 5:00 AM. We only had Okie (BMC) and Bandit (MUTT), on the ground. We kept TJ (my newest mutt) on the four wheelers along with the catch dogs Jag and Scout. We hunting for a good while before Okie and bandit started barking. The hog must have known what was up and hit the road. He never stopped. The dogs ended up losing him and headed back our way. We gave them some water and headed out again. We hunted a little longer before Okie and Bandit took off about 300 yards. We cut the four wheelers off and heard them barking. We cut TJ to them to see if he would go to them and start baying. The boys grabbed the catch dogs and we all headed that way. When we got there the big boy was bayed up nice and pretty on the edge of the brush and we cut the catch dogs to them. They hammered hard and put up a good fight. All dogs came out without a scratch. We decided to call it quits after this board. Good hog and a good morning. The dogs really did well and shut it down fast.

It sure was wooly!!!! We actually caped  it out and sent it to a guy who wants to make a mount out of it. When that gets done, Ill post the mount pictures on here. His hide was too good to pass up.

I should have taken pictures of his legs with my hand wrapped around it. my hand only went about half way around his legs. I had never seen such thick legs on a hog, especially this time of year.

Yeah I was thinking no less than that, he had a big frame for sure.  In a usual summer he might have been 20 or more lbs heavier.
