 i got a young boar around 130-150lbs. i want to pack on weight onto him but dont want him real fatty. walking him is out of the question or any kinda exercising of him unless he is chasing the dogs in a pen. what should i feed that is cheap, but will pack on weight???

If you have a cheese plant around you you can buy their waist cheese pretty cheap also donut shops will give away unbought donuts

 no cheese plant, but we have a miller beer factory in waco. would the waist hops be good or to much alcohol? there are pleanty of dough nut shops just follow the cops around Grin Grin Grin i will talk to them and see if they will give me the old 1s there is also a mrs. bairds bakery in waco too.

I would think you could feed the beer grain and also the bairds bakery will charge you a little know a couple guys feed bread to their deer

 well tried the doughnnut trick, put some hog feed out,, gonna try some sweet feed next. i even put out some of the hog wild, which used to work for some of my other pigs. he aint aint a bit since i got him. could he still be stressed from being caught and relocated? the guy said he had been feedn him corn for a bit but didnt say how long.

Charles, if you go with sweet feed, go real heavy molasses. The other pellets with produces way to much ground up uneaten waste. I have a deal now with a couple local grocers and donut places. And it has helped. The other thing I must recommend is build a good long slop trof. It will cut down on wasted food. Good luck.

he was eating corn when he was in my pen and he been in there for 2 months . it took him a few days to start eating when i first cought him

 so it may just be stress then. i still want to pack on weight, and he has a sever temper issue. if he dont like the food bowl in his way, he roots it, throws it and takes out his anger on it. gonna hav to get a heavier trough.

Rice bran will do it. But what I do is hit the dumpsters at our HEB, you'd be surprised at what you can get and how much. Just don't let your friends catch you dumpster diving! Lol

 i fixn to head back across the pond i sure i aint got any issues with y wife dupster diving. the dumpster aint got a/c, internet or starbuks. i do good to get her to feed n water the dogs. if the rice bran aint got directions on the bag it coe in my wife wouldnt b able to mix it. i have seen her burn water and made chicken the dogs wouldnt even eat.

I go to butter crust down the road and the hogs will tear it up sometimes i give small amounts to dogs to i can fill the bed of my truck for $20 and that a whole lot of bread.
