Pissing in the water does sound easiest id try it. I have had dogs like that when they got half way gentled down they were still usually hard to catch sometimes. I used the long rope trick and shock collar with and without the rope. have to be careful with the shock collar though. Had one dog i think i used it on too much one time and she didnt want to leave my side for about a month.

Sounds good lol but I don't have a shock collar.. And my luck it would just make her even more scared.

x2 that is either genetic or caused by improper socialization between 8 and 12 weeks. In my experience, real shy dogs take forever to get where you can handle them and then they are only half azz trusting. makes for some long nites. if its not an exceptional dog, id cull it for a pup that will come to you.

Patience and a calm voice, treat with cut up weenies and try to get her to eat out of your hand. I always put those type dogs with my other dogs and spend lots of time in the kennel with the tame dog until the shy one is able to trust you, it's best to not say anything just use body language but don't approach the dog head on try turning to the side. Good luck, not all dogs come around.
