I have four puppies that I'm currently raising, all of them are up to date on all shots and look and act healthy as can be. Only problem is when they crap feom time to time they are crappin out a bloody mucus Lookin crap. I'm not real sure what it is they have. They have all been wormed regular also. Any help or suggestions on what this could be please let me know. Thanks for Any input.

The condition could be due to:
•A worm infestation such as roundworm, tapeworm or hookworm
•A virus such as parvo or corona, and yes, a vaccinated dog can still pick up these viruses, but usually to a lesser degree
•A case of colitis, sometimes referred to as irritable bowel syndrome
If you have them up on their shots my guess would be worms, they pick them up real easy..I use NEMEX 2 from TSC

How do I treat colitis? I did some research on it and that's what I think it is. I've never had problems with my dogs having worms, and I do believe nemex is the name of the wormer I use also. I've had dogs get Parvo before and I am pretty positive it's not Parvo. These puppies are hyper,eat and drink well, but
Like I said they have bad crap from time to time

how old are the pups ? they could possibly have coccidiosus . i allways treat my dogs with either a product called sulmet wich you put in the water or give orally or cordid same way i like sulmet better less intense on the stomach . i raise chickens also so i begin puppys on a sulmet program about every 2 weeks for a couple three days as soon as they start drinking water as a preventive . this time of year birds are migrating from god knows where and they bring with them all kinds of crap that your dogs can catch . people over look cocci wich is a killer of young dogs and it is so prevelant all over the usa that a ten dollar bottle of sulmet is a pretty cheap investment in your dog and puppy health program .

If you think it colitis look at what you're feeding them and when they have the issue happen. Do you do anything different when it happens? How often does it happen?
I still think it is maybe hookworms or anothere parasite..

One is 5 months old, the other 3 are 3 months old. Does any feed store carry sulmet? Or tractor supply
