The pigs we have around here are some running son of a guns so me and a couple buddys decided to get some half pits half cat and cur as rcds, we hunt them in the woods and they catch pigs in a pen but not in the woods any advice?

Logan not all of these mixes turn into RCD or CD...I have 3 cat/pit crosses 1 straight catch, 2 bay and will help catch

X2^ some dogs will put the heat on em in the pen but back up and bay in the field

x2...or they will not stick to a track without a good strike dog leading them around.

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog... A hunting dog is born not made...
