Well, we hit the woods again last night with the turd herd. Grant (make-em-squeal) wasnt able to go....cough cough whooped cough cough....so we didnt have the mighty Hunter dog to help our rag tag pack. Needless to say, i had almost no hope of even sniffing a hog.

we cut the dogs in the woods and they pretty much dicked around, hiking their legs on stuff. All, that is, except "Wicked" the catahoula female. She was getting out a couple hundred yards then checking back and going out again. We eased our way a pretty good piece through the woods with Jack (Chromedome) walking the dogs ahead hoping to trip on a blind retarded hog so the dogs could catch it.

After a pretty good while, we had all the dogs just hanging around, And after watching a couple of decent dog fights we decided to load the herd on the wheeler and ride through to the lake bottom. Walked the dogs up a piece and heard a pig squeal across the dried up lake bed. Looked at the garmin and Wicked was 350 yds that way. Max the dogo x Lacy was with her. when the pig started squealing, the other two dogs went to them. Wicked is pretty much straight catch and Max is rough so that hog wasnt going any where. When we got there all 4 dogs were on it stretching it out. They pulled it off and the hog wasnt blind or crippled!!

heres the little boar with Wicked on the left and max on the right. the other two didnt get to be in the picture becase they were dicking around while those two found the hog!

I've had the same luck. Pulling a pig outta the woods with a pack that you think wouldn't do much. They just keep getting better. just keep doin' what you're doin'
