They make great dogs for some, they will strike and catch, lots dont like them as they will get off by themselves and get killed trying to catch a big hog by themselves, usually they stay cut up a lot due to this, I had a running walker/ 1/2 pit that was like this, would go 1 mile bark 2 or 3 times on a big hog then catch it before he got help, stayed cut up a lot because of this and would get other young dogs cut up as well following him, if you have 5 littermates like this cross you would be better off hunting them all together, that way they all run together and catch together instead of getting bay dogs killed trying to catch when it would been better to bay the hog until you got there, I never seen one that was not this way, at one time i would not hunt with a 1/2 pit walker if i had my solid pack of YBMC bay dogs, did not want the stiching up on back of tailgate at 2 amlol

A fella up here named John Wedd has one, it has made him a nice dog every one say's. some times he will catch if the pig is on the smaller side most times he bays. looks like a really stocky hound, not sure how much mouth he gives on track.
