Poco was a very salty dog and tough as they came.  I got him as a puppy from Everett Crainer  He was 1\4cur 1\4pit 1\2plott.

He had to be put down yesterday just before his 8th birthday.  Which is amazing becuase I didnt expect him to live more than 2-3 as rough as he was on a hog!

He was bit by a large rattle snake, gored, cut up, cut down and gutted all by the age of 3!
Also around 3-4 he went on a hunt in BayCity with Mike and Matt at Thunderbird and contracted some type of bacterial infection which baffled vets and would eventually lead to his death almost 4yrs later!

At 4 he learned his groove and really made a nice dog!  He was a dog anyone would have been proud to own before he had to retire for health issues around 6yrs old.

Here are a few Poco tribute pics:

Hate to hear that, James.

I don't particularly care for those bacterial infections either...

James, I am sorry that Poco is gone, but I am glad that he can rest in peace now. He was a really cool looking dog that had heart. I remember a few hunts with him.

Man I'm sorry to hear that, my friend.  He was a good dude.  I remember a certain hunt that ended at the vet clinic in Flatonia after he struck a big nasty hog.  Sorry for your loss.

RIP Poco
