Does anyone have a pit/dane or a pit/mastiff they use to hunt or as a cd? If so, I would like to see pics.

This one made a great catchdog. He caught like a freighttrain and was a pleasure to lead through the woods. He is by a pit out of a bullmastiff.

We were told by our vet that this one was a pit/dane. We lost him about a month or two ago and I want another one like him. He was awesome on a big hog.

DJ, Voodoo was quite the specimen. He had "the" look about him. I would love to come across one built just like him.

It would be great if the breeding produces what I had. But Im doing some research because the other pit/danes that I have come across (which are few) aren't quite as bulky built as VooDoo was. Thats why Im also researching the pit/mastiff crosses also. I want to be sure and get it right. Im looking to get as close a carbon copy as I can.

I think his head def. Says Dane to me. Maybe Dane/Mastiff? He does have some bulk about him.

As in American Bulldog? I don't have any experience with an american bulldog but I do know that he had the thick jaws of a pit. Do american bulldogs have those same thick muscled jaws?

Idk I def think Dane is part of the equation here. Maybe try getting on one of the Aussie sites. They could help you out a little more maybe when it comes to crossbred danes.

Noah, I loved everything about him.....except that his hatred of hogs was so bad that he didn't have a very good handle on him. But other than that he was house broke, he loved everybody, he flat out didn't have any dog aggression, but the best thing was that he could handle a big nasty boar. Not just catch it and hang on, but HANDLE it. He was also a great companion dog. He liked to cuddle on the couch and watch some tv.  Smiley
