I went down to Weimar for a Friday afternoon hunt and a Saturday morning hunt.  After a dry run on Friday afternoon, we made up for it on Saturday morning.  My buddy, Aaron and I and a few others ran just down the road to Columbus.  We turned out just before sunrise and within about 10 minutes, my 9 month old Ugly pup, Porky started barking.  Slick and Aaron's dog, Tank joined in, so we turned Skunk and Jag loose from about 100 yards.  Between the 4 bay dogs, we had 2 different bays.  We got lucky and one catch dog went to each bay and we ended up with two hogs about 100 pounds each.  We gathered everybody up and continued on.  About a 1/4 mile up we hit another group.  Tank barked first, and the other 3 joined in to bay a big sow.  This time, we got a little closer.  Skunk caught first and Jag was right behind.  The 175 pound sow made 3 so far.  There was a washout just ahead, so we headed on.  We saw a couple of hogs across an open field.  Tank and Slick followed their nose to another group.  Slick was bayed solo on a big hog right at the edge of a big dropoff into a creek.  When Skunk hit, him and the big hog fell off the edge and tumbled to the bottom of the creek.  The big hog ran off, but the other three bay dogs had another one bayed up, so Skunk broke off the trail and headed up the creek.  Before he could get there, Jag slammed the bayed hog across the creek from us.  Aaron's girlfriend got the collision on film.  Sean would be proud.  There were still hogs scattering, and one chose the trail I was on as I worked my way to the caught hog.  I side stepped the hog, gave him a swift kick, and slowed him down just enough to let Slick catch up to him.  When Skunk got to the caught hog, Jag broke off, and crossed the creek to give Slick a hand, and we had 2 more caught hogs.  It was a great morning, and we ended up with 5.  The dogs worked great.

I have some good pictures, but they aren't working from photobucket.  Maybe I can figure it out and post them.

KSDR,
Porky is really getting out and hunting and proving his bloodlines.  I have a really good handle on him in the woods already, so I am going to start taking Mater, too.  Slick actually bayed until the catchdogs got there.  He was bayed on the hog that Jag hit in the video.  Jag & Skunk are catching AWESOME!!  I'm going to have to start using a breakstick for the first time since hunting Meathead.  The video of Jag was pretty SWEET!!  Courtney done good.

Good deal bud, good to see ole Slick on the computer every now and then.  Look like you got those young dogs lined out and working good.  I remember seeing Skunk when he was about 4-5 days old, he sure looks good now.
