I have a cat gyp that loves a hog. She has a good nose but no grit.

She will bay a hog then when the hog charges she will scream out as though she has been hit good even if the hog misses. Most of the time she gets hit and never seems to get out of the way. My other dogs will either catch or if the hog is really big at least avoid it's charges.

My question is should I continue to work this dog or let her go? I am not sure if she can become better but I really like her (for some reason) so am constantly making excuses for her.

I have a video to show but not sure if it could be posted (in a large pen)

Any opinions welcomed.

I would keep her, long as she dont quit, and hunts. You might have to take some ribbing from your buddy's, but thats all in fun. But if the hog charges her and she screams and takes off running other direction with her tail tucked I would get rid of her. But thats just me.
