Has anybody used a 45 long colt round on hogs i have one and only used it twice. they were both head shots though. wandering how they would fair if shot them in a different place. ive had a couple people tell me they dont have much knockdown power.

i carry a circut judge that is a 45 long colt and i love it! i can shoot them anywhere i want and they always go down, ive never had any problems with mine.

45 long colt should work fine on hogs. Heard bad things happening when firing hot loads in the judge though.

I own a ruger blackhawk, winchester trapper, colt anaconda and the judge all in 45lc. You can shoot them anywhere. I've knocked down a bunch.I recommend the first two if you want to shoot the hot stuff but the other two will do it as well.

I ve got a uberti, havent looked real hard for different ammo. most what see are  like the more primitive looking cowboy loads. The cowboy loads dont seem real accurate to me.  I did buy some of those lever revolutions the other day they looked to be of higher quality, Then most of what I see. My pistol is like a Colt replica. Im not sure how hot a round you can shoot out of it though.

I do not think you are supposed to shoot hot stuff through it the uberti just cowboy action but check.
