I have a Kemmer male that b a year old in November 13 2011 i was wonderin if im just wasting him away He been in a bay pen from 6 weeks old to 4 months old and did amazing from wha lil i know about doggin, but here lately ive been busy and cnt find a pig to train and cant afford to drive an hour to take him to my buds. What do yall recomend i do to help him, and if anyone near nc ok want to hunt and let him come that would b AWESOME!!!

thx he sure is gamey i snap a leash to him open the gate we go on a run nose to the ground he follow my other dogs trail to the t from me previously walkin em i even waited like 5 hours and he still did that

A well bred kemmer can hunt with the best of them...Any good dog with natural ability does not need much training/exposure but the right amount is best.
I have had a few that were never hunted but were just yard dogs and the first time in the pen they shined like stars and the same in the woods. 3 or 4 hunts and they were striking pretty good.
I would't worry about it but just get a pig when you can or at least every now and then. do not over work him.

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
A hunting dog is born not made...

ok thx man, id say hes well bred my freinds thought i was crazy when i took him over there @ 3 months and he was biting a 150 lbser on the ass to turn him around, of course then he was on outside of the pen cause we had 4 about that sze in there |
