Well... It wouldn't be my first choice. Especially for a tournament, I wouldn't go there first. Just my opinion.

I'm not an expert on the area but I deer hunted it a couple of years ago and saw a bunch at my feeder on a regualr basis.

Best of luck to you. The hogs are not the biggest but there is plenty of them. And some good guys to hunt with in that country. Just find water and protein feeders.

I hog hunted down there a few years ago. All I remember is it was unbelievably thick, and everything there poked, pricked, stung, or bit. Waitresses at the local cafe included.

I've trapped a lot of deer in that part of the country, and there are tons of hogs. I have to disagree with Lizzie, because there are also some big hogs around there. The same stuff that grows magical south Texas antlers will grow big meaty hogs. I don't know about the waitresses myself, but everything else is definitely thick and sticky. Won't be fun running through that stuff headed to a bay.

Man everthing in south texas pokes the heck outa you, but there is alotta hogs down there bow hunted on a big ranch down there an there was plenty of hogs big an small,Jlinge got it right on the waitresses to haha
