Wow! In 2009 ETHD hit the 1000 member mark, then in 2010 it hit the 2000 mark. It looks like ETHD may hit the 4000 member mark by the end of 2011! That means that it has doubled in size every year. Cant stop a good thing!  Grin

You know on second thought, there's some folks who haven't checked in in a long time. I remember some good ol stories from days gone by and haven't heard from their tellers in too long. One particular old fella who I enjoyed hearing from was toothlessoldhound. Anybody know where his wife buried him?

There have certainly been some characters that have come and gone.... with a few still lurking around.

I think what makes it a great site is that everyone , for the most part is friendly and cordial towards one another. There are other hog dogging sites but most are full of "EGOS". I am new to the sport but every time I have come on here and asked questions I got honest answers trying to help me. I was made to feel welcome and that's what makes it a great site.

That is amazing,...I never really checked to see the total number of members....how cool is that. I sure am happy that I found this place,....and I must also commend Mike on the way this place is handled by the administration. I really like the fact that they tolerate very little bickering and no threatening or other bad practices. Good work folks....my hat's off to you. Thank you for letting me be a part of this place.

X2... This place is full of mighty fine fellers itching to help a fellow hunter. Other sites are out to break the newbs that will help stand beside you and keep the rights fights going our way. I enjoy getting on the board and reading even with nothing to say. There is a whealt of knowledge that would be lost without this site. Instead the great members of this board choose to pass it along. I am a newb and have felt accepted by all of you. The knowledge and the people on this board are both priceless and could not be replaced. Keep on keeping on and happy hunting.

Neal, I feel that the way we run this sight is one of the reasons for it's success. I've been on these internet forums for the past 11 or 12 years and have seen many come and go. When we started this site our main rule was that everyone on here will post respectfully... or they'll no longer be a member here. We've stuck by that rule since day one and try to make this forum enjoyable for everyone.
