taylor i couldnt help but notice the unicorn was missing??
good pig tho, sorry bout the loss of a Cd
The unicorn was there, he was the only thing caught when I went in. Cur dogs weren't gettin anywhere near this guy and Quervo had already gotten too much of a beating and couldn't get back on till I got him legged, he never gave up though, no matter how hard that hog knocked him back. Here is a pic of soco and lacy after the hunt at the buying station. Lacy was put in the box right before this pic but decided she needed to get some camera action so she somehow got out of it again, the first time, she got out and decided all the hogs at the buying station needed to be grouped a little tighter. My pack is a big groupe of handfuls, I sware.

He didn't get it too bad, all we had on both cd was cut collars. Soco was run on the ground and was caught for 30 min or so before we got there, don't think he was caught on this boar but I don't know. My guess is he killed a sow cuz we saw him come untreed on the garmin and come out of the woods about 150 yards away, right then lacy opened up 75 from him and he went strait in and that was all she wrote for that boar. He got bit through some loose skin just under the cut collar but it's just the skin no muscle. When I got there he was shoulder to shoulder with that boar and doin everything he could to stay there. The got half a spin in and got their butts facin me and I went in and got a back leg. Got two legs hobbled and Lindsay and Devin came and got the other two legs for me after they tied up dogs.

Thats a dang good hog Taylor! If that SOB would have killed my CD I would have killed him on the spot and took his head for a reminder of a good dog lost doing what he loved. RIP Quervo..

Well we got a lung wrap on him and stopped the bleeding in his shoulder and got him stabilized enough for the vet, it was just a lost cause. Ol Quervo was tough but it was just too bad. So I knew they were gonna have a vet bill. After everything went down I kinda wished we would have killed him...
When we were stabilizing quervo that hog broke one of my hobbles and ended up gettin across the pasture to the next tree line (didn't have enough leads to tie him to a tree). After everyone left to take quervo to the vet I was there by myself and realized the hog was gone. Tracked him as far as I could but lost the trail in the grass. Turned lacy loose and she went and bayed him up in the next tree line bout 200 yards away. Didn't want to turn soco loose on this guy again without gear on so I tried to creep in and leg him while lacy had him distracted. Long story short, that pig could move pretty quick with three legs hobbled, and lacy wasn't distracting enough. He got me down in some thick brush, bit me on the leg but didn't get a good grip, I was hollerin like a little girl but got his ears and shucked him to get a back leg. Ended up using lacys collar to tie him to a tree this time so I didn't have to go through that again.
Sold him for just over $127 and the vet bill was $135, so I'm giving the money to Devin and Zach to cover most of their bill. He would have made a real nice mount, but us college kids need the money when we can get it.

Since I came out ok, I'm glad nobody was there to hear me hollerin haha! I wasn't really sure what to do myself, I kept gettin wrapped up in briars. The worst part of my woulbds is my shredded back and arms cuz I was shirtless from tearing my shirt up to stop the bleeding on Quervo, So the briars got me pretty bad, my leg is bruised pretty deep and I got some nice teeth marks but he didn't get any cutters in me.
I was really blessed, God was really watching over me, the way that whole deal turned out. I said a good thankyou prayer after I got that hog on a tree.

I thought baseball players were supposed to be muscular. Guess I was wrong. Still a very nice hog though. Would have really liked the Mano e Mano action of you and the boar. Great stuff right there. Cutter Bay Kennels Big Game Blueticks

No muscles here, just 190 lbs of bone and can throw the heck out of a ball haha. Don't need muscles to make the muscle heads at the plate look silly I don't really wanna have another go with a hog like that especially at that size. It was better than having another dog in a bad situation with a hog that is ready for him and no gear but I'll deffinetly do things a little different next time.
